10 Ways to Drape a Saree

Ever wondered of a way to look sexy in a saree? Mayuri and Hitesh Biyani let you in on the secret with a range of attractive ways to drape a saree at an innovative session held in Thakur Complex. The event, divided into two sessions, received a warm welcome, especially from soon-to-be brides.

“People are often inquisitive about my appearance. They can never imagine the number of ways in which we can drape a saree. People generally opt for the traditional way, but it is good to try something different. They love the way I drape sarees. It has given me the confidence to take it up as a profession. I have been able to experiment new ways, owing to my experience in the advertisements,” says Mayuri, who is a fashion designer and saree draping tutor.

During the seminar, Mayuri took out time to train nine individuals on the various ways to drape a saree. “Indian women have natural beauty. But, they do not pay much attention to their appearance. We want to change it! This seminar will give them tips on the numerous ways they can look attractive in a saree,” says Hitesh, co-ordinator of Mayuri Saree Draping Workshop.

Asha Shah, who is all set for her big day on January 17, says, “I was so confused about what to wear for my wedding. Now, I know which style will suit me better. I don’t think my husband will be able to take his eyes off me on that day.”
